Policies

1. Attendance
   Regular attendance is vital to both the student's progress and the overall success of the class. In the event of an absence, students may make up a missed class by attending another comparable class within one month of the absence.

2. Respectful Environment
   To ensure the best possible learning environment, Dance Unlimited fosters mutual respect among students, teachers, and parents. Any issues that arise will be handled with care. The studio reserves the right to dismiss any individual who displays disrespectful behavior towards staff, students, or property.

3. Punctuality
   Parents are expected to arrive promptly at the studio to pick up their child as soon as their class concludes. Teachers are responsible for students only during scheduled class time. If you are running late, please notify the studio. Parents are also responsible for their child at any community event.

4. Behavior
   Students are expected to maintain a respectful and focused attitude during class. Any inappropriate behavior will be addressed directly with the student and their parent(s).

5. Parent Observation
   Special parent observation sessions are held during the week prior to the holiday break and during Costume Week (usually in March or April). In some cases, parents may be permitted to remain in the room during the first few weeks of class for younger students. Outside of these times, parents are asked to observe through the viewing windows to minimize distractions. Visiting Grandparents are always welcome to observe during class.

6. Communication
   Please review all studio communications, including emails and newsletters, as they are essential for keeping parents informed. These are often the primary means of communication.

7. Social Media & Website
   Dance Unlimited occasionally shares class photos and other updates on our website, Facebook page, and Instagram. By enrolling in our program, parents and students grant permission for photos to be posted.

Safety

1. Food & Drink
   Gum, food, and beverages (other than water) are not permitted in the dance rooms.

2. Jewelry
   For safety reasons, students are prohibited from wearing jewelry during class, including bracelets, hoop earrings, necklaces, and similar items.

3. Lobby Policy
   Students are required to wait in the lobby for pick-up after class. Parents of children under the age of five should be near the dance room at the end of class to collect their child. If a parent is not present, the child will remain with the teacher, wait in their dance room or the front office with our staff.

4. Safety for Young Children
   Children under five must stay with their teacher if their parent is not present at the end of class. We will take younger children into the next class if necessary.

5. Running & Footwear
   Running is prohibited in the studio. Students wearing tap shoes must be especially cautious to prevent accidents.

6. Community Events
   Parents are responsible for their child’s safety at any community event organized by the studio.

7. Access to Dance Rooms
   Only instructors are permitted in the dance or gymnastics rooms unless the class is in session.

Insurance

Dance Unlimited does not provide medical insurance for students or their families. It is the responsibility of each family to maintain their own insurance coverage. In the event of an injury, parents/guardians should understand that their personal insurance policy is the primary source of reimbursement.
