This team is for 4 & 5-year-olds with at least two years training in tap/ballet classes (General recommendation. Please ask your instructor if they would recommend Daisy Co class for this upcoming season or to continue training next year). Dancers must behave appropriately in class, be able to retain choreography on their own and have their instructor’s recommendation. This is their age as of September 1st, 2025.

This team is for 6+ year olds (as of September 1st, 2025) with at least two years training in tap/ballet/jazz classes (General recommendation. Please ask your instructor if they would recommend Debut Co class for this upcoming season or to continue training next year). Dancers must behave appropriately in class, retain choreography on their own and have their instructor’s recommendation. Dancers need to have mastery of basic dance steps/skills.

This team is for our Intermediate level teen dancers (Ages 12+ as of September 1st, 2025). Dancers should talk to their current teachers to see if they recommend them auditioning. Dancers must also behave appropriately in all of their classes. A list of steps is listed below. Note, not all styles are required.
Dancers will be placed in routines. At auditions, dancers will request the number of routines they would like to be in. Dancers will receive the amount of dances or less that they request. Attendance, dedication to their previous teams and choreography retention will be taken into consideration for how many routines they are selected for. Dancers will be able to select 1-3 routines for them to participate in. Dancers will be able to select preferred styles, but are not a guarantee. Judges and teachers will place them based on their strengths and future dance aspirations. Potential routines include Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Tap, Ballet and Musical Theatre.

This team is for 6-11 year olds (As of September 1st, 2025) with at least two years training in tap, ballet and jazz, preferably have been on Debut Co (General recommendation. Please ask your instructor if they would recommend them to audition for Demi Co. Dancers must also behave appropriately in class)
Demi Co competes 2 dances at 4 regional competitions and nationals
This team will be expected to have mastered the basics, be able to pick up choreography quickly, incorporate facials and work hard. Teacher evaluations, attendance and class behavior will be included in the scoring process. Not all will be placed on the Demi Co teams. Please be sure your child understands this. If they do not make it, please register them for the Debut Co when the schedule comes out and encourage them to try again next year.

Defy is our competitive group of acrobatic dancers ages 6+! They will compete one acro dance at 4 regional competitions and nationals. To audition you must have a back walkover from tendu and a front limber - both with correct technique. Additional skills including flexibility, strength, dance genre techniques & power acrobatics are always a plus.
Not every auditionee will be placed on a Defy Team- Please make sure you and your child are aware of this beforehand. We encourage all of those who are interested to try, however we cannot guarantee a spot for everyone. This includes auditionees that have been on Defy last season or seasons prior – everyone must work their hardest to earn your place on any Dance Unlimited Competitive Team.
