Miss Caty

I grew up in Buda, TX, and trained at Dance Unlimited from the age of 8 to 15 under the direction of Dianne Stoffel-Duley. This is where my love of dance took off. There I studied Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Clogging, and Lyrical, and competed in Tap, Jazz, and Lyrical. For the remaining years of high school, I went to Tapestry Dance Co. and studied under the acclaimed tap choreographer and teacher Jason Janas. I have a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Northern Colorado.
While I was in college, I auditioned for the non-profit adult repertoire dance company, Colorado Dance Collective. I was a member of their tap and hip hop company for 4 years, and eventually was elected co-captain. Here, we got to train under many guest choreographers and master teachers such as, Leslie Scott, Keith Clifton, and Gregg Russell. During my membership in the CDC, I had the opportunity to open and perform with acts such as iAmMe and Jabbawockeez. I currently reside in Kyle, TX and am just beside myself that I get to currently teach dance for a living, and for that
matter at my home studio! Dance is an exquisite art, and to see kids growing up who are overcome with the same love and drive to learn- it is the most beautiful thing.
